This playful form is based on the medieval aquamanile. These zoomorphic vessels were typically used for the washing of hands. This modern interpretation does equally well pouring olive oil, as a cheeky flower vase with blooms poking out of its nose, or simply as an elegant display on a mantel. This piece measures 8.25 x 7.5 x 4" and holds 20 oz of liquid. Due to its complex construction, I recommend hand washing only. All pots are made from wood fired, salt glazed stoneware with hand painted designs. Treat them with care and they will last for generations of use!
