Summer plans in the way of committing to a 6 week course? Sign up for an individual session (or a couple!) from my Pottery Around the World: the Americas series on Zoom.

Come on a journey with me! Let's learn about the fascinating history of pottery’s role in shaping the course of civilization and make pieces inspired by indigenous cultures of the Americas! In the Cherokee lesson we'll start with a 15 minute presentation about the pots made by the Eastern Band of Cherokee here in the Smoky Mountains of NC. We'll each carve a wooden paddle with designs on it and make a pot using our paddles to impress a pattern over the surface of our pieces. The class will be conducted via Zoom, with plenty of time for Q&A as well as access to the recordings. After signing up students will receive a Zoom link as well as a course outline that includes a materials list and links to additional bonus videos and articles to add to our discussion.
