Summer plans in the way of committing to a 6 week course? Sign up for an individual session (or a couple!) from my Pottery Around the World: the Americas series on Zoom.
Come on a journey with me! Let's learn about the fascinating history of pottery’s role in shaping the course of civilization and make pieces inspired by indigenous cultures of the Americas! In the Tools and Materials lesson we'll talk about sourcing and processing wild clay, making brushes from natural materials, what native people used for scraping and polishing and more. We'll make several pukis to use to make pots, and test out our clay bodies and pinching skills by making an ocarina or two. The class will be conducted via Zoom, with plenty of time for Q&A as well as access to the recordings. After signing up students will receive a Zoom link as well as a course outline that includes a materials list and links to additional bonus videos and articles to add to our discussion.
